The Roof Racks offer you an option no other rack does – the ability to upgrade over time!
They have designed the roof racks to utilize the same Ruggedized Crossbars available for factory roof rails, so you can start out with a set of Ruggedized Crossbars only, and over time upgrade the side rails and add Crossbars as needed!
The Roof Racks are also available as a complete setup as well. The side rails are constructed of 7 gauge steel for excellent strength and rigidity and powder coated with the same UV stable automotive grade powder coating as the Ruggedized Crossbars.
Compatible with a steel or aluminum Ruggedized Crossbars for factory roof rails.
The hardware is Grade 8.8 M8 bolts finished in a harsh environment coating with Nordlock washers and nuts. Nordlock washers are vibration resistant and take quite a bit of torque to loosen once tightened! These washers will not shake loose on the trail!
This listing is for a complete Roof Rack for a 4th Gen 4Runner. The Roof Rack comes standard with 7 steel Ruggedized Crossbars, and an integrated wind faring.
Toyota specifies a maximum dynamic load rating for the roof of 300 pounds.

Will I be able to use my sunroof and it be completely open and free of cross bars?
Yes, you will be able to to space out the front crossbars so you have an unobstructed view from the sunroof. No issues with operating it either.
