Freespirit Recreation Odyssey Hard Shell Roof Top Tents 49" & 55"

The newest creation from Freespirit Recreation is built to impress and available in two sizes (49" and 55"). The 7" profile makes it one of the lowest profile tents on the market today, yet it can store up to 250 lbs of gear on top (with cargo rack system - sold separately). The gas struts set the tent up in seconds so you will have more time to enjoy the panoramic views. Premium models include enhanced Tri-layer technology that shield you from the harshest winter weather and keeps you cool on hot summer nights. Premium models also include an integrated LED light strip and detachable shoe bag. With a sleeping capacity of 1- 3 people, this tent has it all. So gear up for your next adventure with the Odyssey series hard top tent!

** FSR tents will be delivered with free shipping to your nearest FedEx Freight facility. Residential delivery available for an additional fee. Please contact us for further details.

Great tent and awesome customer service

This tent is great and pretty much as expected. Great build quality, low profile, comfortable, enough space for me (6'5") in the 55", etc. Shipping was as fast as can be expected for freight, so no complaints. Beyond that, customer service from Roof Top Overland is honestly the best I've ever dealt with. They kept me updated on shipping, were really quick to respond to any questions, and went above and beyond to help me with a few issues I ran into. I'd definitely shop here again in addition to recommending the tent.

Wonderful tent with just a couple of security and safety concerns with the mounting and latching.

Roof Top Overland was wonderful to deal with and to communicate with. If this review were entirely for them it would have been a 5-star rating. However, this review is for the Freespirit Recreation Odyssey Tent and there were just a couple of things that I thought could have been a little better. The mounting hardware for the tent are sufficient but lead one to question the security aspects that are really missing. In particular, they included knobs intended for hand tightening the tent to whichever rack system you are placing it on. The main concern I have for this is that I will need to put it upon myself to check those connections every time I plan on driving to be sure nothing has backed off or that someone hasn't purposely loosened them. There is a lock washer that was included for each one but the configuration leaves a little doubt as to how well that will work over the long haul. There is also no option for locking the tent closed. The latches are good and solid but I'm afraid I would consider even a single hasp for locking a reasonable addition. Especially on the forward facing edge to help ensure the tent doesn't accidentally open during transit.
