Cali Raised LED 2010-2022 Toyota 4Runner Economy Roof Rack

You effectively cannot carry anything that's full with. The idea of anchoring directly to the crossbars isn't feasible because your lashing, ratchet strap, etc. will just slide inboard as you tension it. If you try to carry a 4x8 plywood, etc., that takes up the full width of the rack there is nothing to fasten your straps to. I had to add folding D-rings to the outside of the rails where the "grab handle" nutserts are installed. I now have external anchor points but it doesn't look very finished this way. Having to mod a mod is somewhat typical in vehicle customizing, but I just wish this rack had slots or holes that fit a common motorcycle ratchet strap hook. Make no mistake I really like how beefy this rack is but the lack of anchor holes is noticeable.

One of the best things about the economy roof rack, and all other Cali Raised products I've bought to date, is the quality of the product and the ease of install. I decided to go with the economy roof rack because I already have the Cali Raised ditch lights and hidden grill lightbar on my 2018 4Runner. The rack showed up in a massive box that was extremely well packed. All materials were included. Assembly was a breeze and it fits perfectly on the 4Runner. I got this primarily to haul my surfboards but with all of the attachments available, it's really easy to convert this rack into whatever need you have. 10 out of 10 on this rack guys. Highly recommend.
