Product Details

The Tacoma Access Rack is a modular, adjustable, and completely bolt together roof rack for 2005-2022 Toyota Tacomas in the access cab configuration.

The rack consists of 2 laser cut side rails constructed of 3/16″ 5052 aluminum plate. These rails have 3 mounting platforms each that will allow you to bolt the rack into 12 rivet nut plus nuts that you will install (Requires drilling). The 6 plusnuts on each side of the roof provide a secure mounting system for the rack. This rack will require you to drill 6 holes in each of the 2 channels on the roof top. The crossbars are made from a aluminum extrusion that has 4 T slots with the Prinsu exclusive “drop points.” This offers numerous solutions for tie down options, cargo security, and the addition of accessories such as tool mounts or lighting. The rack comes shipped with a black powder coat finish. All assembly hardware is provided. The rack also includes a 1/8″ 5052 aluminum plate wind deflector to help with aerodynamics and prevent wind noise.

The rack is completely modular in that you choose how your rack is configured. Refer to the gallery for an example of standard configurations used based on different load sizes and weights. You can also choose the number of cross bars you assemble your rack with. The rack comes standard with 5 cross bars for cargo and 2 additional for mounting of a wind deflector, lightbar or combination of the two. Weight capacity of the racks varies based on the number of crossbars used and their configuration. Prinsu expect all consumers to use good judgement and common sense with the loads they plan to carry using these rack systems.

Awesome rack!

Shipping was very quick and the customer service was excellent! It took some time to find an installer in my area, but once installed- it looks awesome!
The installer found some challenges as the drilling through the roof cost him 4 drill bits (heavily reinforced areas), they had to be very cautious considering the airbags just beneath the surface, and they measured the holes to drill in the weather stripping incorrectly resulting in an ordering of a replacement weather strip. They complained that the installation instructions were vague and could have offered more details instead of an experience based installation. They neglected to install the noise cancelling strip as they were unsure how to position it correctly since it bulged at the corners. I opted to install it myself later on.
The rack is surprisingly rigid and its low profile looks very professional. I was concerned with the wind noise that I've seen complaints about, but I experienced no whistle, or found the slight roar to be annoying and easily ignorable. Very happy with this purchase!

Excellant parts, and perfect fit.

This took a bit longer than I originally expected to arrive, but when it did, it was packaged very well and with the video on putting it together, it was perfect. I was amazed at how well the pieces when together, for furthermore, I was amazed at how perfectly it fit my truck. The only thing that I would recommend for this kit that it doesn't have? The rubber channels that have to come out to access the factory bolt holes? I tried to drill a hole in the spots where the spacers for this rack go so that way there wouldn't be any gaps for water to get into and the middle of the rubber channel has a piece of metal in it to reinforce and your bit just slides off to one side or the other. I wound up cutting them then using silicone underneath the spacers before I bolted the rack down. It will work and it's unnoticeable from the ground is almost unnoticeable from the top. For happier customers and to save time? In the future maybe offer replacement channels as this will save allot of time.
